MATTERS
Exhibition, Evaluation and Knowledge Production in Design-Driven and Artistic Research.
A special edition in the CA²RE series, bringing peer review, exhibition and assessment into one shared platform.
We are pleased to invite contributions to the CA²RE Conference Ghent 2027, hosted by the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture and LUCA School of Arts. The event welcomes doctoral researchers, postdoctoral researchers, academics, practitioners, artists and designers engaged in design-driven and artistic research.
Ghent 2027 brings together three complementary formats: CA²RE, as a platform for doctoral research exchange and peer review; ADRO, as a framework for discussing the assessment of artistic and design research; and MATTERS, a curated exhibition in which artefacts, installations, prototypes, performances and visual essays become part of a broader conversation on how research is produced, communicated and evaluated.
